Twice the destinations, none of the stress: discover the magic of twin-centre holidays

Why choose just one incredible place when you can experience two?

The idea sounds dreamy – but the reality of organising it? Flights, transfers, timings, hotels, connections... it’s enough to make your head spin. That’s where we come in

A twin-centre holiday is the ultimate way to double your adventure – twice the discovery, twice the indulgence, twice the memories – all in one unforgettable trip. It’s perfect for honeymooners torn between vibrant cities and barefoot beaches, for explorers who crave contrast or for long-haul travellers wanting to make the most of every mile.

Picture this: waking to the sound of lions in the Serengeti before sipping cocktails on Zanzibar’s white sands. Or wandering through Sri Lanka’s misty mountains before touching down in the Maldives to your private overwater villa. Bliss.

But behind every smooth, seamless twin-centre trip lies an intricate web of logistics – coordinating flights that actually connect, transfers that line up and hotels that complement rather than clash. It’s a puzzle that can take hours (or days) to piece together.

That’s why we do all the hard work for you. We design and organise every element – from flights to ferries, villas to visas – so your only job is to dream, pack and go.

Ready to be inspired? Here are some of our favourite twin-centre combinations, each one promising contrast, adventure and those unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime moments.

South Africa & Mauritius

If you’re seeking adventure followed by indulgent relaxation, few combinations rival South Africa and Mauritius.

Begin in Cape Town, where mountains meet the sea. Take the cable car up iconic Table Mountain to take in the city views; visit Robben Island (where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned) and stroll through the bustling V&A Waterfront, lined with boutiques, galleries and restaurants.

Then it’s time to go tasting in the Cape’s famous vineyards. The towns of Franschhoek and Stellenbosch spill over with wineries.

If you happen to be there any time from June to November, then be sure to visit the beautiful town of Hermanus where you’re highly likely to see southern right whales.

Wildlife of a different kind awaits in Kruger National Park. A short flight north will see you settle into your luxury safari lodge, where you have a front-row seat to the Big Five. Dawn game drives reveal lions, elephants and leopards in their natural habitat, and evenings end with lantern-lit dinners beneath the African sky.

From Johannesburg, a direct four-hour flight takes you to the glistening Indian Ocean island of Mauritius. It’s time to sink your toes into soft sands and swim in turquoise lagoons. Spend your days snorkelling above coral gardens, hiking up mountains or through lush forests or sampling local Creole cuisine in picturesque villages. Having said that, it’s also an island for indulgent spa treatments and relaxing sunset catamaran cruises – the perfect conclusion to this twin-centre adventure.

Safari & Zanzibar

This combination is a seamless blend of wild adventure and island serenity.

The seemingly endless plains of the vast Serengeti await in Tanzania, bounding with extraordinary wildlife. Indeed, it’s home to the Big Five and the set for the Great Migration, when millions of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles thunder across the grasslands.

Heartland to the Maasai tribes, Tanzania is also home to the Unesco-listed Ngorongoro Crater, a playground to the Big Five, as well as the endangered black rhino. And when the flamingos appear at Lake Magadi the air turns blushing and pink.

Your safari experience can be enjoyed in sheer luxury – any of the 12 open-fronted rooms at Lamai Safari Camp have their own private verandahs sharing the most dramatic views.

From here it’s just a short flight to discover Tanzania’s secret weapon: Zanzibar. A stay on this island beach paradise is the perfect partner to follow on from a safari.

As the name evokes, Zanzibar is exotic. It’s a heady, magical concoction of Arab, Portuguese, Indian, British and Swahili influences – as is reflected in Zanzibar’s rich and diverse culinary spread. And, it’s where culture, history and beaches converge.

Explore Stone Town, a Unesco World Heritage site with winding alleyways, carved doors and bustling spice markets. Venture to clove plantations, relax on the white sands of Nungwi or Kendwa, snorkel around Mnemba Atoll or sail on a traditional dhow during sunset.

The contrast between adrenaline-filled safari mornings and serene ocean afternoons makes this combination unforgettable.

Dubai & Seychelles

This twin-centre marries the glitz and glamour of Dubai with the pristine, secluded beauty of the Seychelles  – a journey from desert sophistication to tropical paradise.

Start in Dubai, a city where ambition meets imagination. Be awe-struck by the futuristic architecture and marvel at the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. Dubai has shopping malls like nowhere else on earth: sprawling homages to all things retail combined with vast entertainment parks – think aquariums, dancing fountains, opera houses and even indoor ski resorts.

Arabian culture awaits in the ‘Old Town’ where you can lose yourself in the winding streets of the Gold, Spice and Textile souks alongside Dubai Creek. Or venture onto the ocean of golden dunes for an exhilarating desert safari, complete with camel rides, sand boarding and a traditional Bedouin-style dinner under the stars.

And for families and thrill-seekers, Dubai has no end of rollercoasters and dare-devil slides at its collection of water and theme parks.

After all this fast-paced city action, it’s time to tone it down. In just under five hours you can be in the Seychelles, where nature is the star.

These paradise islands are all about barefoot luxury and sunshine-soaked tranquillity. In fact, the Seychelles is one of the few places on earth that still feels totally untouched.

Stay on Mahé where you can enjoy snorkelling in Beau Vallon Bay; discover the coves of Anse Soleil and Anse Intendance; explore the bustling markets in the Seychelles’ capital of Victoria and hike in the misty forests of Morne Seychellois National Park.

Alternatively, slow down even more on the neighbouring island of Praslin. Here the crown jewel is the Vallée de Mai, a Unesco World Heritage Site where towering Coco de Mer palms stretch their giant fan-shaped leaves towards the sunlight, while the air hums with the calls of the rare black parrot.

If beaches are what you crave, you’ve come to the perfect place – Anse Lazio is widely regarded as one of the world’s most beautiful beaches, distinct for the massive boulders that grace the sands.

Indeed, the Seychelles’ combination of calm waters, powder-soft sands and tropical flora provides the ultimate contrast to Dubai’s high-energy sophistication.

Singapore & Malaysia

This pairing blends ultra-modern cityscapes with tropical charm, perfect for travellers seeking diversity within a short flight.

Begin in Singapore, a vibrant city where cultures converge. Explore Gardens by the Bay, with its futuristic Supertrees and Cloud Forest Dome, and wander the colourful streets of Little India, Chinatown and Kampong Glam. Food is a highlight – savour Hainanese chicken rice, chilli crab or street hawker delights at Lau Pa Sat and Maxwell Food Centre.

Spend an afternoon on Sentosa Island for beaches, theme parks (including Universal Studios) and its Oceanarium.

Nightlife ranges from rooftop bars overlooking Marina Bay to intimate jazz clubs in historic districts.

A short one-hour flight brings you to Langkawi, Malaysia, where rainforest, limestone cliffs and beaches await.

Watersports abound in Cenang Beach – parasailing from here is particularly popular too, swooping you up into the skies for a birds’ eye view of the jungle and islands below. If you want somewhere more secluded, head to Tanjung Rhu or explore the nearby islands where forest trails snake within the rainforests.

Keep an eye out for scampering monkeys and soaring eagles as you cruise through Langkawi’s Kilim Geo Forest Park. Here you’ll glide through dense mangroves and discover hidden caves teeming with bats.

Be sure to ride the Langkawi SkyCab – a cable car taking you 708m skywards to a viewing platform where you can look down on towering rock spires, steep cliffs and deep chasms. On a clear day you can even see all the way to southern Thailand.

Back on solid ground Malay cultural experiences await in the local spas, aromatic food markets and fishing villages.

Despite being so close, Langkawi is a world away from the glistening skyscrapers of nearby Singapore, making this combination one of exhilarating contrasts.

Sri Lanka & Maldives

With this pairing, one moment you’re exploring ancient temples, the next you’re stepping barefoot onto a private island pondering whether to snorkel or nap in a hammock.

Start in Sri Lanka, an island where history, wildlife and natural beauty all jostle for your attention.

Don’t miss the Cultural Triangle, home to the ancient rock fortress of Sigiriya – climb to the top for epic views and frescoes that date back over a thousand years. Then there’s Kandy, the island’s spiritual heart, where you can visit the Temple of the Tooth and watch traditional drummers at dusk.

Further south, head into the tea country around Nuwara Eliya, a cool, misty landscape of rolling plantations and colonial-era bungalows – perfect for a scenic train ride through the hills.

And if wildlife is your thing, Sri Lanka delivers in spades: spot leopards in Yala National Park, elephants in Minneriya and whales off the coast of Mirissa.

Round things off with a few lazy days on the golden beaches near Galle, where crumbling Dutch fort walls and chic boutiques add a touch of charm to your final stop before heading to the Maldives.

Malé is just a short one-and-a-half hour flight away – yet it’s worlds apart. Think tiny atolls scattered across the Indian Ocean, each one a picture-perfect island wrapped in powder-white sand and surrounded by impossibly blue lagoons. Here, time slows right down. Your biggest decision? Whether to dive into the coral reef, paddle board over it or simply float above it with a cocktail in hand.

Whichever of the islands you choose, peace and privacy are guaranteed. Stay in an overwater villa and you can slip straight from your deck into the sea. Beneath the surface lies a technicolour world of coral gardens and marine life – manta rays, turtles and reef sharks all make regular appearances.

With Sri Lanka having woken your senses, the Maldives soothes your soul – it’s a perfect mix.

Miami & St Lucia

This combination fuses the urban vibrancy of Miami with the soft sands of St Lucia, offering a perfect balance between energy and relaxation.

Start in Miami: vibrant, loud and full of character. Art Deco buildings, Latin rhythms, beachside joggers and drag brunches collide in this city that literally never sleeps.

In Little Havana, Latin America meets the Caribbean. Head here to sip a cortadito and watch dominoes being slapped down at Máximo Gómez Park.

Visit the Wynwood Walls, where street art bursts with colour, then explore the Design District for high-end boutiques and contemporary galleries.

Come night, the neon lights turn on and the world-class DJs ramp up the volume until sunrise.

When it’s time to chill, take a direct three-and-a-half hour flight to St Lucia. Here, the iconic Piton Mountains steal the spotlight, rising majestically from the sea.

This volcanic island is lush and mountainous, with rainforests to hike, waterfalls to discover and mineral-rich sulphur springs to bathe in.

Below the waves, snorkelling and diving reveal a kaleidoscope of marine life, especially around Anse Chastanet and Anse Cochon. Meanwhile, coves like Marigot Bay and Rodney Bay offer world-class marinas, chic restaurants and lively nightlife.

Evenings can be spent dining on fresh seafood and sipping rum cocktails – what a combination.

Japan & South Korea

This pairing is one of intense, cultural discovery.

Start your journey in Kyoto, the city that embodies Japan’s timeless elegance. Wander through the Kiyomizu-dera Temple with its panoramic views over the city, stroll along the cherry-tree-lined Philosopher’s Path and explore the atmospheric streets of Gion, where geisha move gracefully between tea houses. The contrast of serene temple gardens and buzzing traditional markets is a feast for the senses.

Next, hop on the bullet train to Tokyo, just over two hours away, where neon skyscrapers, futuristic architecture and culinary innovation await. Sample sushi in Tsukiji Outer Market, shop in Harajuku for quirky fashion and scale the Tokyo Skytree for amazing city views.

For a taste of history, take a day trip to Nikko, a Unesco site adorned with ornate shrines and tranquil waterfalls.

From one city to another, the next stop is to Seoul in South Korea. It’s a starkly modern metropolis  – even more so than Tokyo would you believe it. Having said that, one part of the city where time has stood still is the Bukchon Hanok Village, a 600-year-old collection of traditional Korean houses that line a warren of narrow, cobbled lanes.

Having explored the city, it’s time to escape to the hills. Seoul is cradled by mountains and hiking is a must. The lakeside city of Gyeongju is a two-hour train ride from Seoul. Here you’ll walk through streets lined with royal palaces, temples, tombs, pagodas and shrines.

And then it’s off to Busan, Korea’s laid-back coastal city. Relax on Haeundae Beach, browse Jagalchi Fish Market and ride the Busan Sky Capsule along the coast.

Finish your trip on the island of Jeju, a volcanic paradise with waterfalls, lava tubes and beaches.

This heady mix of Japan and South Korea will leave you enlightened and captivated. It’s a trip like no other.
